Erasmus+ International Learning Mobility

Erasmus+ Student Learning Mobility

Erasmus+ Student Learning Mobility is carried out within the framework of the Higher Education Erasmus Declaration (ECHE) and the inter-institutional agreements of the higher education institution.

The activity consists of the student registered at a higher education institution completing part of his/her education at a higher education institution abroad with which the institution is partnered by an inter-institutional agreement. The activity period can be between 3 and 12 months (1, 2 or 3 semesters according to the systems of some countries), which can be completed within the same academic year, valid for each level of education separately. Education level refers to undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.

Students studying in the first year of undergraduate programs and students who have graduated cannot benefit from the education mobility activity.

Students who will participate in the activity must be full-time students. 60 ECTS for one full academic year for students to do the studies required for their diploma/degree abroad; They are expected to be sent to follow the program corresponding to 30 ECTS credits for one semester in a two-term academic year and 20 ECTS credits for one semester in a three-term academic year. Full academic recognition is provided for credits achieved in the program followed; Failed credits are repeated at the host institution.

Activity Period :
1. The minimum duration for educational mobility is 3 full months (90 days) or 1 trimester, and the maximum duration is 12 full months.
2. The activity period must be carried out without interruption. Term breaks (semester breaks) and public holidays are not considered as interruptions in education mobility.
3. In case of interruption of activities due to force majeure, activities in which the minimum period cannot be completed are accepted and a grant is given for the remaining period, provided that the force majeure can be documented.
4. If students return before the minimum period is completed, except for force majeure reasons, the activity will be deemed invalid and the grant will not be paid.
5. The student mobility period of a student within the same education level (undergraduate, master's degree, doctorate), if any, during the Lifelong Learning Program (LLP) period and the student mobility period during the Erasmus+ period cannot exceed 12 months in total. Even if no grant is given, the total duration of student mobility activities within the same education level must be planned not to exceed 12 months.
6. When the student completes his/her education at the current level of education and moves to a new level of education (for example, when the undergraduate education is completed and the master's degree is started), it is possible for the student to have mobility again for a maximum of 12 months in the new education level. Thus, it is possible for the same person to carry out mobility for a maximum of 36 months, with a maximum of 12 months at each level of education.
7. It is possible to carry out educational mobility activities (simultaneously or following) an internship activity to gain professional experience. This activity, which includes internships, can last at least 3 months and is funded through education mobility.
