Application Requirements
Applicants who have completed 12 years of school education and have any of the following statuses can apply to our university's Foreign Student quota if they meet the application conditions.
Statute – 1 : Foreign Nationals ( Including those who subsequently acquired the Turkish citizenship )
Statute – 2 : Those who renounced their Turkish citizenship with permission and holds a "Mavi Kart"
Statute – 3 : Turkish citizens ( Including dual citizens ) who completed their 12 years of school education in another country other than Türkiye ( Except Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus )
Application Requirements
Situation 1 - ) Those who have completed a 12-year education with qualification for higher education in a country where German is the official language
a - ) and holds a “Matura” or “Abitur” diploma with a grade of at least 3.0 (in a 6-grade system). If you wish to apply for a bachelor program at the Faculty of Science or Engineering, you must also prove that you have chosen and passed mathematics as a subject in your Matura or Abitur diploma.
or
b - ) holds a “Fachgebundene Hochschulreife“ diploma with a grade of at least 3.0 (in a 6- grade system). In this case, you can only apply to bachelor programs that are related to your subject field.
or
c - ) holds a “Fachhochschulreife” diploma and has obtained at least 425 points out of 500 in the TR-YÖS exam conducted by the Center for Evaluation, Selection, and Placement (ÖSYM).
Situation 2 - ) Those who have completed a 12-year education with qualification for higher education in a country where German is not an official language
a - ) and holds a “Matura” or “Abitur” diploma with a grade of at least 3.0 (in a 6-grade system). If you wish to apply for a bachelor program at the Faculty of Science or Engineering, you must also prove that you have chosen and passed mathematics as a subject in your Matura or Abitur diploma.
or
b - ) holds a German language certificate with the approved level recognized by the Senate of the Turkish-German University, which allows being exempted from the German language preparatory course, and holds a high school diploma average of at least 75 points in a 100-point grading system, and has obtained at least 400 points out of 500 in the TR-YÖS exam conducted by the Center for Evaluation, Selection, and Placement (ÖSYM). (For high school diploma degrees not graded on the 100-point grading scale, an official document with a conversion of the original grade to the 100- point grading scale must be submitted.)
or
c - ) holds a German language certificate with the approved level recognized by the Senate of the Turkish-German University, which allows being exempted from the German language preparatory course, and has obtained the minimum grade listed below with regards to the applied bachelor’s program from the exam conducted by the State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan
