Grading System

As in the provisions adopted in the Turkish Higher Education Law in 2011, TAU uses the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) as the grading system. TAU has a three-stage education system consisting of undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees. The course structure and quality level of these stages are designed as stipulated in the Bologna Process. Students who want to go abroad have to fulfill the Learning Agreement. The targeted success results are compared by the Erasmus coordinator according to the Education Agreement and the program curriculum at TAU, the grades received are converted to the TAU system and recorded on the student transcript at TAU.
All departments at TAU are designed to take 30 credits per semester. Thus, outgoing students can easily adapt to the education system of the hosting universities.
